Our team developed and curated a Architecture student workshop for IALD in Hyderbad in association with SEA Architects & INTACH Hyderbad. The main intent of the workshop was to introduce lighting design to students through a hands on workshop in a live public space. With the help of INTACH we were given permissions to work on a Minar at the Mozzam Jahi Market one of Hyderabad's oldest markets. The design includes a simple graze from bottom highlighting the textured wall, Internal glow with floods to have light from within the windows and a focused highlight to the dome from a distance with a very narrow 4 deg beam spot light. Students were exposed to key lighting design sensibilities and installation techniques which turned out to be a valuable experience.
