SAI TALLAPRAGADA

Sai Tallapragada trained and practised as an architect prior to focusing on the unique relationship between light and built environment. His post graduate degree in illumination design has combined deep understanding and experience of the design and lighting equipment.

While in Australia, he began work with ‘POV’, one of Australia’s well-known lighting design practices, where he had the opportunity to work on small to large projects across Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He gained international experience in lighting design by working on a variety of projects ranging from heritage, hospitality, civic, retail, commercial and residential. His move to Singapore was to expand his portfolio, joining a company such as ‘illuminate’ not only guaranteed a high calibre of projects but also opened the opportunity to run the India office of illuminate in 2012.

Sai currently runs Tungsten Studio in India and collaborates with illuminate for India projects. His portfolio includes major Hotels, Corporate offices, Malls, Monuments and High-end residential projects across India and other countries. 

He firmly believes that light should enhance a space without imposing upon it. Driven by his extensive experience and knowledge of lighting equipment, Sai works at the forefront of his industry creating beautiful visual environments.
